I am a 4th year student attending New York University, majoring in media/communication studies and economics. I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and grew up speaking Japanese and English. I am currently located in New York City with passions for travel, cultural exchange, and writing.

About Me

Nene Hamada was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She currently studies at New York University, double majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication & Economics.

From a young age, she had a passion for writing. Once in high school, she joined the journalism club through which she had an internship at Bloomberg LP while also becoming the editor-in-chief of her school's paper in her senior year. In college, she writes for a magazine publication, Generasian.

This blog is a curation of some of her past journalistic works, ranging from news reporting, opinion pieces, to photojournalism.
